Jim Gaven

Musician on a Mission

Founder/CEO Jim Gaven has written and released over 2 dozen albums of music (solo project, and in the bands Postmark Twain, Age of Wisdom, and Mouth of Wilson). His solo project's music is reminiscent of the artists John Mayer, Third Eye Blind, and the Goo Goo Dolls.

A registered composer and publisher with the performing rights organization, BMI, his music can be heard in 6 of the 7 continents across the world in TV shows/commercials/background and in-store radio retail channels, and in-flight entertainment systems.

To hear his entire catalog of work, head to: Bandcamp. For the top 5 songs of the 10 artists Key of Awesome Music represents for publishing, licensing, and placement needs, head to: Soundcloud.

Jim's work with developmentally disabled adults across the state of NJ is creating a meaningful, non-judgmental way for people to express themselves, create something out of nothing, and build confidence, all the while learning basic, intermediate, and, on some occasions, expert level concepts on guitar, piano, bass, ukulele, percussion, and voice.

In addition to this, he is a published author, blogger, writer of children's songs for lifelong teaching tools, podcaster, and humanitarian whose mission is to make a positive difference in the world by improving the quality of life (especially through music).

Current Projects

Our latest and proudest venture, established in April of 2018, is a focus on positively impacting people in a time of need.

Places in a time of need could include but are not limited to: developmental disability day programs and group homes; adult day care centers; prisons; shelters; at-risk youth; drug and alcohol counseling centers; veterans; nursing homes/assisted living facilities; and mental health organizations.

The mission is simple: To Improve the Quality of Life Through Music. From group sessions to private lessons to interactive live performances, we are on a quest to make the world a better place.

The Statistics Are Staggering

As Of April 2018:

1 in 5 people have some sort of disability (physical or developmental)

1 in 5 people struggle with mental illness.

554,000 people are homeless.

5.7 million people suffer from Alzheimer's Dementia.

8.5% of the population have a drug or alcohol addiction.

That's 20.5 million people, and we are just counting the U.S.A., not the rest of the world.
